This comprehensive course is approved by the Erie County Pistol Licensing office and meets all New York State Police requirements. The classroom is a relaxed and welcoming environment where questions and discussion are encouraged. As always, safety and good training are my top priorities.
WHAT TO EXPECT
The 16 hour classroom portion is held in two, 8 hour sessions. We take several short breaks, as well as 1 hour for lunch. Water and coffee are provided on site. There are several restaurants nearby for lunch including Carbone’s Pizzeria, Undergrounds Coffee Shop, Tim Horton’s, and Gene McCcarthy’s.
Students will receive everything necessary for class. It is recommended to bring a drink and a snack, if desired. “I had the pleasure of attending the pistol permit course April 6-7. Brendan is incredibly knowledgeable and informative, and made the information and legal jargon clear and easy to understand. His patience, willingness and enthusiasm to work with people, no matter their level of firearm experience was evident. His involvement in the process doesn’t end there. He will answer your questions and assist as much as he can until you have your permit in hand. I would highly recommend and encourage anyone interested in pursuing their pistol permit to allow Brendan to be their instructor.”

“As someone with zero gun experience I walked away from this class feeling well versed in pistols regarding safety, gun mechanics, gun maintenance, situational awareness, firearm legality, and shooting. The instructor (Brendan) is very knowledgable and experienced when it comes to guns and did a great job presenting the information. Between the presentation, hands on portions, and range time he kept the class interesting and engaging the entire time, and had answers for every question that was asked. Would highly recommend to anyone who is considering getting a pistol permit 10/10."

“This was a great course with so much information to be learned. Brendan makes the class fun and keeps you engaged while offering up his extensive knowledge on firearms. I would highly recommend this course for anybody, whether you have a lot of firearms experience or none at all. He helps with everything required to get a concealed carry permit from firearm safety to the application process. Overall it is a great course with a lot of information to learn for anyone interested.”
